Financing Will Support Acquisition of 3 Nonprofit Providers and Expand Mental and Behavioral Health Services Across 4 States
MADISON, Wis. – The Public Finance Authority (PFA) has issued revenue bonds in an amount not to exceed $114,555,000 for Inperium, Inc., a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation, to finance the acquisition, construction, and equipping of human services facilities, including mental and behavioral health services.
Inperium, Inc. is the parent corporation of a network of affiliated nonprofit corporations and limited liability companies offering a diverse array of human services. The financing will support Inperium’s acquisition of three nonprofit, federally tax-exempt human services providers – KidsPeace Corporation, Children & Family Services Corporation, and Crystal Lake Supportive Environments Inc. d/b/a Attain, Inc. – along with their respective tax-exempt affiliates. These organizations operate facilities offering mental and behavioral health services across Pennsylvania, Florida, Indiana, and Maine.
Proceeds from the bonds will be used to finance the acquisition of the three providers through the purchase of sole membership interests, the construction and improvement of facilities across the acquisition jurisdictions, the refinancing of lines of credit used to fund a portion of the acquisitions, and the acquisition of information technology software and equipment supporting Inperium’s headquarters network in Reading, Penn. The financing also includes the authorized reallocation of unspent proceeds from PFA’s previously issued 2024 revenue bonds for Inperium.
“Access to mental and behavioral health services remains a critical need across communities nationwide, and this financing allows Inperium to expand its reach while lowering its cost of capital,” said Bill Kacvinsky, PFA Board Chair. “By supporting the acquisition and integration of these providers, we’re helping ensure more individuals and families have access to the human services they need.”
The financing will assist Inperium in offering an expanded array of human services, including mental and behavioral health services, across its growing network. The lower cost of capital achieved through this financing structure will allow Inperium to further its nonprofit mission and strengthen service delivery in the communities it serves.
The PFA Board of Directors approved the resolution authorizing the issuance of the bonds and all necessary financing documents.
