The Public Finance Authority (“PFA”) has closed on a project that’s providing assistance in financing the expansion of operations, making improvements to the facilities, and fixing other long-term needs for Goodwill Industries of Lane and South Coast Counties in Oregon. Goodwill Industries of Lane and South Coast Counties has a mission that aligns strongly with PFA, to provide vocational opportunities to individuals in the community in need of employment, equipping the community with resources to flourish.
Goodwill Industries of Lane and South Coast Counties believes their most valuable asset is those they serve and employ. They are committed to creating jobs and opportunities for competent employees that will help achieve the mission of Goodwill.
“We are excited to be taking on a new project that demonstrates PFA’s goals for local governments and communities,” said William Kacvinsky, PFA Board Chair. “The goals for this project are to continue to allow Goodwill Industries of Lane and South Coast Counties to maximize services and opportunities for individuals.”
PFA partnering with Goodwill Industries of Lane and South Coast Counties will provide financing to create temporary and permanent jobs, community infrastructure, and improve the overall quality of life in these communities. PFA has been serving local governments in financing public benefit projects that provide local economic development, create jobs, produce state and local tax base, and meet needs of eligible borrower’s state or local issuing authorities may not be able to serve.
